Even though I’m a virtual assistant, I’m also a skilled family and senior photographer! I love capturing memories for my clients because I know that those sweet, precious times with your family and as a high school senior go fast! I also love being a photographer because it gives me extra skills as a virtual assistant and content creator. As a photographer, I can more easily tell a story by choosing hand-picked images and carefully designed copy in a blog post because I write my own blog. As someone who has been writing for my photography business for almost ten years, I know all of the steps it takes to complete a successful blog, ranging from knowing SEO (search engine optimization) and to how to select the best photos. Here are some key reasons why being a photographer helps me as a virtual assistant!
1. Visual Storytelling Extraordinaire
Imagine this – a photographer’s knack for visual storytelling transcends into crafting compelling narratives for blogs. I understand how to capture moments, and similarly, capture the essence of a client’s business using specific words based on my client’s brand voice and tone. Through vivid descriptions and clever metaphors, I can paint a captivating picture that resonates with an ideal audience. I also choose the best images from my client’s gallery for the blog that helps support the overall story and goal of the post.
2. Creating Attention-Grabbing Headlines
Just as I can catch the perfect angle and light for a shot, photographers can grab your attention with captivating blog headlines. I know how to intrigue and entice an ideal client, creating headlines and blog titles that practically beg to be clicked. From “The Top 5 Wedding Venues in Richmond” to “What to Wear For Your Fall Senior Session,” I will make sure your blog’s title is a work of art.
3. Framing Ideas Creatively
We as photographers have a keen eye for composition, which translates beautifully into crafting well-structured blog content. I organize ideas with competence, guiding my client’s readers through a seamless journey. Each paragraph, like a masterfully composed shot, contributes to the bigger picture – your brand’s tone and message.
4. Picturing SEO Perfection
Much like adjusting settings on a camera, I have an innate sense of balance when I’m shooting a subject. This type of balance applies to a blog’s SEO, seamlessly incorporating keywords and optimizing content for search engines. This includes making sure that your blog is “greenlit” for SEO which includes adding alt-text to the images, writing strategic copy, and making sure your long-tail and short-tail keywords are included throughout the post. Your blog will shine in the spotlight, drawing in more readers organically.
5. Focus on Audience Connection
Photographers have a special skill in connecting personally with their subjects. I send out a questionnaire beforehand to learn more about my clients before their session. This also translates with blogging because I learn who my client is speaking to in their blog. My clients’ blog connects with readers on a personal level because they share meaningful content that speaks to them. I infuse blog content with authenticity and empathy, ensuring that each post resonates with my clients’ ideal target audience.
A photographer as a virtual assistant doesn’t just care about images, but is a dynamic force that captures a business’s goal and tone through words. With my skills in visual storytelling, attention-grabbing headlines, creative structuring, SEO optimization, and audience connection, I will make your blogs pop and sizzle in the digital landscape. 📸📝
